1. Overview

Standard PDF, image and resume editing runs in your browser. When you choose AI features, the text you submit is sent through our hosting provider to Anthropic for processing. Payments are handled by Stripe.

2. Information We Collect

Resume drafts, named applications, source notes, job descriptions and download counts are saved in this browser. Named applications can be removed in Applications; downloaded backups must be managed on your device. Premium uses a secure cookie containing a subscription reference. Stripe processes billing details; Netlify processes requests and technical logs. AI submissions are sent to Anthropic. Clear your draft using the reset option on this site or clear browser storage on a shared device.

3. Cookies & Advertising

Scrivia shows advertising served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Where required (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), Google shows a consent message so you can accept or decline these cookies, and you can change your choice from that message at any time. You can also manage personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings or opt out through aboutads.info. Scrivia does not control the advertisements shown or the data Google collects. Your documents and resume text are never shared with advertisers.

4. AI Features

When you use AI-powered features (PDF summarisation, resume writing, job matching), the relevant text content is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Please do not include sensitive personal information in documents you process with AI features. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this data.

5. Third-Party Services

Scrivia is built with the open-source libraries pdf-lib, PDF.js, pdfmake, docx, mammoth.js, jsPDF, signature_pad and html2canvas. These are served from Scrivia itself, so opening a tool does not send your files or your visit details to a library provider. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads, and advertising is provided by Google as described above.

6. Children's Privacy

Scrivia is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
